March 9th, 2012
For the third year in succession, The European Tour held its end of year Final Qualifying School at the PGA Golf Catalunya in December 2011, with a 6 round event played over both the Stadium and Tour courses.
The resort, designed by Neil Coles and Angel Gallardo in association with David Williams Golf Design, once again proved to be a fitting test for the budding aspirants who were attempting to achieve a Tour card. The courses continue to go from strength to strength, the Stadium course befitting its positioning in the top ten courses of Continental Europe and recently ranked within the top 100 courses in the world.
Described as “the most photogenic course in the world” by the TV production team during an earlier Q School, the Stadium Course justifies its position as one of the best – if not the best – course in Spain, a positioned recently confirmed in a recent Golf Monthly ranking, where it was awarded the status of No 1 course in Spain.
