Golf Design Services Provided A selection of the services provided within each Work Stage.
INCEPTION/FEASIBILITY STUDY/ROUTING LAYOUT
- Discussion of client's requirements, including timescale and financial limits
- Visit the site and carry out initial appraisal
- Prepare outline timetable and cost estimate if required
- Prepare existing site plan showing all features relevant to golf course design
- Discuss site and constraints with Planning Authority, Highways Authority, Ecologist/Landscape advisors, Footpaths Officer and Archaeologist
- Produce alternative Initial Routing Layouts, including analysis and costings
- Produce Final Routing Layout including Cost Estimate
SCHEME DESIGN
- Develop Initial Scheme Design including analysis and liaison/meetings
- Discuss Initial Scheme Design with Planning Authority, Highways Authority, Ecologist/Landscape Architects, Footpaths Officer and Archaeologist
- Produce Final Scheme Design and colour version for presentation purposes
- Make and negotiate full (detailed) planning application, including all meetings, site visits etc
DETAIL DESIGN/WORKING DRAWINGS
- Produce detailed working drawings for golf courses including
Amended Levels
Setting out
Cultivated areas
Services positions
Drainage layout
Irrigation layout
Plans and sections of all green and tee areas
Details of course construction
Other construction details (paths, bridges etc.)
SPECIFICATION, BILLS OF QUANTITIES, TENDER ACTION
- Prepare Specification and production information drawings/schedules
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities
- Invite tenders from approved contractors
- Appraise and advise on tenders received
OPERATIONS ON SITE AND COMPLETION
- Prepare the Contract and arrange for it to be signed by the client and contractor
- Administrate the terms of the building contract during operations on site
- Visit the site as appropriate to inspect the progress and quality of the work
- Issue Final Account and Final Certificate for construction works
- Provide maintenance advice during "growing-in" period
