David Williams Appointed To Prepare Masterplan For Spain’s Oldest Golf Club, At Club Real Club De Golf De Las Palmas (1891)

Past President of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) David Williams has been appointed by the oldest club in Spain, Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas to undertake a course review and prepare a masterplan for the long term development of the historic course, situated on the island of Gran Canaria.

Commenting on the appointment, David Williams stated “It is a great privilege to be appointed to assist RCG Las Palmas, one of Spain’s best and historic clubs, as well as one of the small number of Royal (Real) courses in the country. New Short Game Practice Area Real Golf De Pedreňa

Following their recent successful collaboration in the renovation and rebuilding of Holes 9, 10 and 11 at Real Golf de Pedreña, near Santander in northern Spain, UK based golf architects David Williams Golf Design and Madrid based contractors Garden & Golf have completed another project for the Club, in the design and construction of a Short Game Practice Area. David Williams and Angel Gallardo Return to Golf Club de Lausanne

David Williams and Angel Gallardo have been invited back to Golf Club de Lausanne overlooking Lake Geneva in Switzerland as part of their ongoing consultancy contract with the Club.   One of the Club’s long standing concerns is that their magnificent clubhouse and extensive terrace has very little view of the 18th green, the 1st and 10th holes running essentially across the front of the clubhouse, with the 18th and 9th greens beyond.
